I grew up in a wonderful family. My dad was career Army and my mother was a stay at home mom who always made sure that my sister and I had what we needed. I was raised with strong principles and a standard of excellence...although I didn't always take advantage of the amazing principles that my parents tried to instill, I did manage to turn out ok. I wasn't deeply spiritual growing up but did attend church, although, not regularly. I often felt guilty because of my own hypocrisy and I grew discouraged with the church because of the hypocrisy I saw displayed there too. So, at the age of 18 I decided that I wouldn't set foot into another organized church service. I would go on for the next 3 years worshiping God my own way, which wasn't really any way at all. As a junior at the University of Georgia, I found a family of Christians who deeply loved God and showed me something different. So, at 21 years of age, I became a true Christian and eventually met my wife, Stacey, and then entered into the full time ministry in which I served for almost 30 years. And what an honor it has been.  We have raised 2 amazing daughters and an amazing son. After 2020, with a strong shift in church culture and a nagging voice in my head and in my heart saying it was time, my wife and I decided that it was time for us to make a life change...so we made the very difficult decision to step away from the full time paid ministry. Approaching the half century mark, I began focusing more on my health and in doing so, decided to get certified as a Personal Trainer and Behavioral Change Specialist. After almost 30 years serving in the full time ministry for purpose of ministering to people, I jumped into ministering to people from a bit of a different angle...Physical health and Life. I am now a full time Personal Trainer at one of Florida's premier Health Clubs and I am a Life Coach at one of the premier Life Coaching groups in the world, JarrodLifeCoaching.
